Project Reference: Sorba Projects BV

 

In the first half of 2020, Vierhout Engineering (VE) has carried out various detailed Mechanical - Structural analyzes for Sorba Projects BV

VE delivered several high-detailed analyzes at special and complex architectural shaped panels, developed and constructed by Sorba Projects. Some of these projects are applied to: Building façade and roof trim panels, balcony panels / fencing and for a railway station platform lighting and sound armatures.

 

VE used the software #Altair #SimSolid for these simulations at the high detailed 3D CAD designs by Sorba Projects. These simulations are performed with the realistic 3D geometry without 3D CAD model simplification. With this methods, more details (with respect to traditional FEA / FEM simulations) and more efficiency have been realized.

 

These projects focused on the following technical subjects:

Results and structural check according to Eurocode. Including Wind and other external loads. Various used materials; Structural Steel, Aluminum alloys and Alpolic composite analysis. Bolted and glued connections. Sheet metal, structural profiles, Displacements, Material Stresses and anchor reaction forces.

Project Reference: OPRA Turbines BV

 

In the last quarter of 2019, OPRA Turbines BV has requested Vierhout Engineering (VE) to carry out various Mechanical - Structural analysis of an OPRA Turbine package with support skid and enclosure assembly. VE delivered successfully several high-detailed analysis using the software Altair SimSolid. OPRA has supplied the detailed 3D CAD designs, that VE has used efficiently (without model simplification) for the analysis. With focus to following technical subjects: Steel structure analysis, Eurocode check, Welded and Bolted connections, Vibration support dampers, Displacements, Material Stresses and Modal Frequencies.
